Indigo Rose

When she was young, Indigo Rose tended the kitchen garden-both vegetable and herb-which is was protected by a low wall behind the yarn shop. Accessed through a gate from the alley which runs between potluck yarn and the next row of shops in Bordertown, the small garden contained a large variety of vegetables and herbs. Doors led directly into the kitchen or into the potluck. The garden was Indigo's private domain.

In the garden Indigo Rose was responsible for all produce including the dye plants, fruits and vegetables and flowers. She grew and dried herbs for seasoning the potluck dinner table as well.

Indigo is especially fond of Esmeralde. When the potluck broke up, she journeyed home to the middlelands to tend her herbs while Esmeralde went out on the road to peddle her wares. Their paths cross often and they visit each other as they only live one village away near Middlemarch. They trade foodstuffs and gossip whenever possible and are partial to a fermented tea they alone can brew.
